What Does the Test Results Mean?

Instructions to Patient for CT Coronary Angiogram

On the day of your CT Angiogram:

  • Do not exercise
  • Do not eat at least 3 hours before the scan
  • Avoid tea /coffee /caffeinated drinks
  • Drink at least half a liter of water one hour before the procedure
  • Keep adequately hydrated on the day of the procedure (at least 3 liters)
  • Measure heart rate / pulse after sitting / lying down for 5 mins
  • Based on your resting heart rate, your doctor may recommend medication
  • *Speak to our doctor at least a day prior to your CT Angiogram
